On January 15, 2020 at the Menlo Park-Atherton High School's Theatre, Citizens’ Climate Lobby and its cosponsors are holding a forum to learn more about the six candidates vying for the California District 13 State Senate seat being vacated by Senator Jerry Hill. The forum’s focus is the climate crisis and key environmental issues facing our region. The six candidates—Josh Becker, Michael Brownrigg, Alex Glew, Sally Lieber, Shelly Masur, and Annie Oliva—will have the opportunity to present their views on the best strategies to protect and restore the environmental health and integrity of our community, and their visions for a stable climate future. Candidates will respond to questions formulated by the sponsoring organizations—Citizens’ Climate Lobby, Acterra, 350 Silicon Valley, and Sustainable San Mateo—as well as questions selected from the audience. Additional time will be allowed for informal conversations with the candidates after the forum's conclusion. Tickets for this free public event can be found here. https://www.eventbrite.com/e/california-senate-district-13-climate-and-environment-forum-tickets-83574199681 For questions, please contact Alan at firstname.lastname@example.org.
