  • Pachamama Friends:

I wanted you to know that there are two upcoming opportunities for folks to attend a Drawdown Intro Workshop (2 hrs). This would be a great way for us to meet each other. Also, since most of you have training in Awakening the Dreamer and Game Changer Intensive (but not Drawdown), this would be a great way for you to get a "taste", to see if you want to be trained as a facilitator.

[Not to mention, I am still looking for a few brave souls who would like to partner with me, as the demand for workshops and 5-session Action Groups continues to grow, smiles]

One of the workshops is in Annapolis MD, while the other is in Fairfax VA [There will be another workshop in Rockville on March 17; I will get you the details for that one later]. Hopefully one of these locations is close to you.

Please see details below. Each blurb includes a link (Eventbrite or Action Network) to RSVP. [I just noticed that Carl Benson already posted the first event, below]

Hope you can make it and feel free to invite friends.

If you have friends who are interested but cannot make these dates or locations, please let me know. I can put them on my "list for future workshops".

    Thanks,
    Lore Rosenthal

Pachamama's Drawdown Project gives us hope! Project Drawdown is a coalition of more than 200 researchers and other experts from 22 countries led by author, environmentalist, and entrepreneur Paul Hawken. Over the course of 5 years of rigorous scientific research, they identified and modeled the 100 most substantive, already existing solutions for addressing global warming and revealed astounding news: that it is possible not just to slow global warming, but to actually reverse it by 2050.

Join the Climate Stewards of Greater Annapolis for a two hour workshop, "Reversing Global Warming: Introduction to Drawdown". The workshop material is provided by the Pachamama Alliance and includes video clips of Paul Hawken. The presenter will be Lore Rosenthal, a volunteer with the Pachamama Alliance. Please be prompt.

  • Hi Everyone! I am re-posting a message from Rissa Tutia here, because I love the idea that Rissa put out there.

Rissa wrote: Hey ya'll. With midterms over, what do people want to do? Maybe we can meet and greet and see what the opportunities are. I can travel to a central location. Best days for me are Thur-Sat.

I would love to support this from afar. If there is interest in getting together, you might want to consider setting up a Doodle Poll to see when most people are available. If getting together in-person might be challenging. I would love to support by setting up a time to connect on a Zoom Call.

Would you like to meet up as well?

  • Greetings All! Dan Bailiff here, relocated to DC in May 2017 from Philadelphia area. This picture was taken on Indigenous People's Day (aka Columbus Day) 2016 on Independence Mall in Philly. When I blow this conch I pray "Love, Truth, Justice, Beauty, Peace"!

  • Hi, I was involved with the Pachamama Alliance in the Southern California area for the last 2 years. I have now relocated to Falls Church, VA and I'm interested in keeping in touch with the goings on of this group out here.

  • Hi all. I have recently moved near Winchester in the Shenandoah Valley. I was trained to facilitate the ATD symposium a while ago, and am very interested in co-facilitating ATD or Drawdown. Would also love to support and/or volunteer for any community events.

    Thanks!

  • Welcome to @joanclement, Kristen Minogue , and Robin Galbraith . All three are members of the Drawdown: Getting into Action group, now meeting in Greenbelt, MD.
