Please join us in our next exciting RESET Conversation with Christopher Nesbitt.
"Land Degradation Reversal, Climate Change Mitigation/Adaptation Strategies For The Lowland Humid Tropics"
Christopher Nesbitt has run the Maya Mountain Research Farm, an ongoing permaculture project in southern Belize, Central America, since 1988. Former degraded citrus and cattle land, the farm is focused on the intersection of agriculture and ecology. He managed the Toledo Cacao Growers Association in cooperation with UK based Green & Blacks from 1997 to 2004. Since 2004, the Farm has been working on specific ways to draw down carbon, with an emphasis on food security, degraded land repair, multistrata agroforestry systems and staple tree crops. In 2019, the farm won the Commonwealth Secretary Generals Innovation for Sustainable Development Award under the Prosperity category. Christopher runs the farm with his wife, Celini Logan Nesbitt.

A zoom conversation with students and very young professionals abount how to work together for Climate Change. We want to hear from our local youth about what are their prioities, concerns, dreams and to ask how we as mostly Elders can help. We will be listening to 6 young university students who are just now learning about Drawdown, CCL, Our Children's Trust and all of the Climate Action work taking place both locally and globally. This should be a treat!
