Healing Starts Within”
Our next Seeds of Hope gathering will be by Zoom, 1:30-3:30 Sunday, July 5, for those who can join us on the Fourth of July weekend. This year, you may find it hard to celebrate our country with fireworks, when the deep wounds of the injustices in our society are so painful and fresh. You may find it hard to celebrate Independence Day when those who are nonviolently fighting for democracy in our own streets are attacked by a militarized police. You may find it hard to gather with family and friends, for fear of spreading the coronavirus to each other.
This may be the time to find a safe, gentle space to tune into the feelings you are carrying from the world or from your life, and allow some healing to happen. In order to create peace in the world, we can learn to come from a place of peace in ourselves.
To help us take our next step towards that, we are welcoming Dale Goldstein, MSW, as one of our facilitators on July 5. Dale is a longtime psychotherapist and spiritual practitioner, and is the founding director of Heartwork Institute (www.awakentheheart.org).
Please register for this gathering at www.pachapeopleroc.org/seeds-of-hope. When you do you will automatically receive an email with the Zoom link for the event as soon as you register. A day or two before the event, you will receive it again, along with a recorded guided meditation that you will be using during the gathering.
We also invite you to explore Pachamama Alliance of the Rochester Area's new website, www.pachapeopleroc.org. Be sure to sign up to receive our monthly Pachamama Alliance newsletter, which has been redesigned for maximum inspiration and readability, and be inspired by the many new blogs on the website. (and sign up to receive notification of future blogs)
May your Fourth of July take on new meaning this year as we reflect on how we can work towards liberty and justice for all.
